Policy Terms & Limits

Expiration Date

The date a policy's coverage ends, the single most important field to track so coverage never lapses mid-project.

The expiration date is when a policy term ends and, unless renewed, coverage stops. Each coverage line on a COI has its own expiration date, and they do not always align.

Expirations are where compliance quietly breaks. A sub fully compliant in March can be uninsured by July, and nothing on the original certificate tells you, which is why automated expiration tracking and renewal reminders matter so much.

Track this on every subcontractor

CoiLoop collects COIs and W-9s through no-login links, uses AI to read each certificate and check limits, endorsements, and dates against your requirements, and warns you before anything expires.
